Mediación y Gestión Cultural «Project Magisthere: the necessity of forming mediators» The cultural patrimony has a great diversity and needs managers sufficiently formed to work with so varied goods, these professionals must be able to advance imaginative proposals for the promotion of the culture. A suitable management and diffusion of the patrimony happens to design innovating strategies that consider the demands of a public more and more interested in the culture and the ecology, where the tourism occupies a preferential place in the time of leisure. Here it is where the Magisthere project tries to arrive: to establish what kind of formation the technicians called to mediate and to manage the cultural patrimony must have and to define which must be the profile of the professionals called to take part.
«Magisthère, an initiative of European formation promulgated by the Historical Cities» This article deals with a beginning initiative by the collaboration between five cities of the Alliance of European Cities of Culture (avec) to stimulate the creation of a university formation related to the trades of the valoralization of the patrimony. This common desire responds to the increasing demand of the public to accede to the knowledge of the cultural and natural patrimony of their environment. After the obtaining of the approval of the Magisthère project by the European Union through the Leonardo program, the work made jointly by college students, professionals of the formation, local civil employees and responsible politicians ended at the moment at the creation of three offices and their corresponding European university formation at phase of experimentation as well as of a new organization, the EuropeanUniversity of the Cultural Patrimony.
«A glossary, basis agreement for the construction of the Magisthere project» Patrimony, cultural mediation, interpretation, promotion, project, strategy… so many words, so many concepts full of multiple senses, potentially sources if not of ideas, at least of approaches. However, these terms are in the center of the work of the professionals dedicated to the development of the patrimony. To put in agreement on its definition so quickly was a preliminary task indispensable for the Magisthere project. The Regional Institute of the Patrimony of Britain (Irpa), has been the organization in charge to coordinate this initiative.
«Magisthere project: new professions for the putting in value of the historical patrimony» From year 2003, delegates from five european countries have participated in the Magisthere project: France, Italy, Hungary, the CzechRepublic and Spain. A project that, within the framework of the necessary adaptation to the european reality, has investigated the new demands of professional formation within the area of the patrimony management. From year 2005, the final agreement adopted during the last meeting of the participant delegates, it has supposed the beginning of a phase that aims for the continuity of the project and its maximum opening as much as to the society as to a greater number of institutions. This new phase is developed from a new epicentre, the EuropeanUniversity of the Cultural and Natural Patrimony (uepcn), space still in an embryonic state, made up of the participant universities and institutions of the Magisthere project.
«The situation of the formations and the professions relative to the heritage and the possibilities of formation of the heritage manager in Hungary» This study presents the national and foreign bases of the formation in Heritage Manager in the University of Pécs –the Hungarian participant institution in the Magisthere project. The analysis extends from the classification of the professions relative to the heritage and its characteristics, to the protection of the heritage and to the international tendencies about its use. In the Hungarian formation system existed already programs of continuous formation relative to the heritage, but they took care of quite different questions. The modules of this new formation begin –parallelly to the rest of partners of the Magisthere project– by an european knowledges and continue by specific matters of the heritage and its protection. This implies a professional newness in this type of formation, because it allows two possibilities of specialization: the promotion of the patrimony and the management of the heritage projects
«Study of the structures of the cultural patrimony in the CzechRepublic» The legacy of the historical monuments, whose historical, artistic, aesthetic, and emotional values has got an irreplaceable character, form one of the most important elements of the national cultural patrimony, of the natural cultural treasure of the Czech Republic. This article shows the different levels of the administration of the CzechRepublic relative to the patrimony. Who, how and under what professional category manages the historical monuments, or the museums and galleries; and also is shown which are the rolls and competitions of the different political and territorial institutions.
«State of the matter of the professions relating to the mediation and valorization of the heritage in France» The patrimony is being more and more, object of an increasing interest by part as much of the local populations as of the visitors who come from other countries. What is at stake is a cultural question but also a social and economic one, because the patrimony registers in the center of the debate on the arrangement of the territory and must constitute, in ahead, an element of the sustainable development for the european regions and countries. The French Ministry of Culture and Communication, partner of the european project Magisthere, made a study on the state of the question of the professions dedicated to the valuation and the promotion of the patrimony in France. In a more defined way, three types of specific professionals arose: manager of patrimonial project/ manager of the patrimony, promoter of the patrimony and guide-lecturer.
«The high formation in the surroundings of the cultural mediation» This article presents the reader a general vision of the situation of the high formation related to the cultural mediation in Italy. One stands out the lagoons of the professional sector that dedicates to the putting in value of the rich national patrimony and the cultural mediation insisting. For that reason, the necessity arises to create a professional figure able to treat the cultural patrimony as a whole being taking in account the territorial and regional characteristics. Thus, formation in the university will be proposed for the profiles proposed by the guide-lecturer Magisthere project, promoter of the patrimony and head of project of development of the local patrimony.
«The repertoire of competitions» The Repertoire of competitions is one of the results of the investigations of the Magisthere project. After a phase of interviews and analysis to professionals related to all the scopes of the management and mediation of the patrimony in the five participant countries, an expert french Consultancy (BL Consultants, Lyon), managed the elaboration of a repertoire with all the identified competitions (also the absentees ones) that the new professionals of the management and the mediation of the patrimony must have, in relation to the real necessities identified and exposed by the plaintiffs of the project, the european city councils of network AVEC.
«Course of formation» The experience of the Magisthere project has been the most thing similar to a true course. Course of formation that advanced from the confrontation of the different educative national systems to the establishment from scale model-framework, that was used as a base for guide for the establishment of the present european codimploma between the participant universities. This new formation offers the possibility of organizing an educative system that favour mobility, and offers an original concept of the european scientific and cultural dimension.
«The protection of the immaterial patrimony based on beliefs and of economic base. The Mystery of Elche and the Court of Waters of Valencia.» The success of the program of Masterpieces of the Oral and Immaterial Patrimony of the Humanity and the great refugee of the Convention of the Immaterial Cultural Patrimony of 2003 have made of the intangible patrimony a high-priority objective of the patrimonial policies on world-wide scale. The experience in the matter, nevertheless, still is little, and the definition of suitable protocols of trusteeship is made difficult by the enormous diversity of manifestations included in the new category of the cultural patrimony. The cases of the Mystery of Elche and the Court of Waters of Valencia, goods of the valencian and spanish cultural immaterial patrimony with clear universal meaning, serve the author to propose an operative distinction between immaterial patrimony based on beliefs and the immaterial patrimony of economic base, that, when allowing the identification of the segment of goods of the intangible patrimony more threatened of extinction, can suppose an effective tool for the rationalization of the effort of the public administrations in relation to safeguard the immaterial patrimony.
«The Labour University of Gijón: the City of the culture» The building of the Labour University of Gijón was the result of the necessities of the pro-Franco regime after World War II. With a conception marked with old resonances, like an ideal city, it is articulated like an educative center of professional formation (city-factory) that provides workers for the industrial and ideological production (city-bunker) that provides teams educated by the Jesuits. The project was paralyzed in the 50´s, after that it becomes a training center that is being transformed, adding to the pro-Franco memory, the democratic one. Today it is wanted, from the mark City of the Culture, to promote two proposals: to consolidate its formative functions and to offer new complementary services like motor of cultural and creative creation. Both functions are specified in the program of uses that is next specified.
«New cultural centers: new models of cultural management.» The Ignited House is a cultural center of recent creation that tries to start up a new model of cultural management like strategy innovating and near the creative thought of the artists and intellectuals who will equip from content to the building to the time that approaches this same throught its social surroundings, the citizens who no longer will be a mere spectator whatever an experimenter. Also from The Ignited House the formation in the scope of the cultural mediation is promoted. This article bets by the culture like critical element front to the mere spectacle and the coarse comercialization.
«Ten years of contemporary art in Barcelona» The Contemporary Art of Barcelona Museum (macba) finishes turning ten years, a term of little time but enough to turn this Catalan installation into a forced reference for the sector, as first names of the world-wide museography are outstanding when congratulate the center by its birthday. Behind closed doors, the macba eludes the perspective that would understand his first decade as the end of a cycle and announces «a new stage» whose objectives will be to go deeply into the strategies that it has developed until now and to make its working lines more radical, «in order to undertake new ways to understand the present through the artistic experience». The team in charge of the center hopes that from that attitude it derives «a new cultural structure, away from the museums or the artistic institution understood in a traditional sense, through which the art returns to the public and political sphere». They say that the work done until now is not more than the strongpoint for that much that the macba has left to do. |
